Yes my 2014 1.5 died at 42000 miles . Ford installed a new long block. My question is are the new blocks improved for coolant intrusion. mine was installed in May of 2019. My 2015 Edge SE fwd 2.0 EB with 150k is needing an engine. Began with a misfire on cylinder 1. White Smoke on startup. And, sweet smell of coolant. Local dealer checked it out. Pressure tested the coolant system and found it leaking into the #1 combustion chamber. $6100 to replace the long block....It re-occurred at 37,000 mi. The second time resulted in a full engine replacement under the 60,000 mi. warranty. The dealer explained that coolant was leaking into the cylinders resulting in scoring. My 2017 Titanium Escape has had the center screen go blank, no radio or nav, two times so far as well as the right side steering wheel buttons not working and no rear view camera.
