I contacted the local Tesla people and they told me that the type of tire that is on the car when it is shipped depends on the time of year.Tsportline designs 18" wheels compatible with Teslas. Smaller wheel means bigger tire so better absorption of minor road details and noise. It's a good hack instead of messing with the springs and suspension. In my case, I wanted a good hybrid tire for different roads including rocks, dirt and sand.

MYP: Pros: it is a hatch with more space both in cargo and in seats. Slightly cheaper. With more space and higher ground clearance should be more practical. Easy to order one in stock. Cons: it is an SUV so less fun than M3P. slower than M3P.

Our current lease on my wife’s Tacoma was $14,500 for 39 months and 39K miles, the Tesla with a similar capitalized cost shows a stronger residual value but that lease costs $6K more for 36 months and 30K miles. There was never an option to turn off regenerative braking. The setting was under Driving Settings, enabled changing the level of regenerative braking from Standard to Low.
