Difference between glock 30 and 30s.
Dec 16, 2015 · I assume the 29sf & 30 are exactly the same the slide perspective. thx. Same slide width for the G29 and G30. the G30S uses the slide from the G36, which is why it's thinner. I like the G36, but never could see much advantage in using a thick frame with a thin slide; the pistol is only as thin as it's thickest part.

The SF, regular and Gen4 frames are the same width. The grip, front to back, is shorter on the SF and Gen4 models than on the regular G30. Glock should just make the SF models the standard now. It is my understanding that the Gen 4 models without any backstrap installed has the same reach as the SF frames. I like the 30s and find it to be a great carry gun.
