I hosted a game with my wife and we got to level 10 farming. Thinking we could split duties, I picked agriculturist and she picked artisan. Agriculturist worked how you would suspect, crops I planted grew faster than the ones she planted. However, with her being Artisan, we couldn't figure out how to make the artisan goods sell for more.
