2810 posts · Joined 2006. #14 · Jul 28, 2009. ok mike, if it is grabbing you have one of three problems. 1 clutch not adjusted properly. 2 clutch is not new and actually blown out or the basket is fubarred. 3 clutch is dry, but i highly doubt this is the case.

Try putting the tractor in the HIGHEST gear, then with the engine shut down, pull the tractor alternately a few feet forward then a few feet backward with the clutch pedal fully depressed.
