The Eye of Cthulhu is a fairly easy bossfight with good preparations. At this point in the game, with some mining, you probably have a fair amount of life crystals or so. The bossfight could probably still easily be done with the use of Victide armor and some kind of weapon that can hit the eye from afar, Wulfrum or Victide weapons.
