A drift car is inherently unreliable. Transmissions pretty much just fit with engines they're mated to. So if there's a car out there that already runs a K24 mated to the 5-speed in the FC, you're in luck! But there isn't. So fabrication will be required. Also, the K24 was never designed to go in the FC, so even more fabrication will be required.

"Answering a bit late but there is a "workaround" (I've encountered the same issue). This is because you use the "fix for abmx" dll version, which fix the swap of extra tweaks when using invitation function. If you use the regular dll of kPlug, there is no issue anymore with the pregnancy mod (BUT you'll also loose the fix during swap.
I really like the idea of a K swap in the RX8. I think a NA K20A with ~250whp is a close fit to the original spirit of RX8. I would disagree that the K is easier to fit in the engine bay. It's probably equal in difficulty, but with a different set of challenges to overcome. Being an I4 it is taller than a LS at the centerline. Adaptronics for the RX-8 was made to interact with the RX-8 CANBUS system, making all factory gauges, steering, etc work. KPro will require retaining the stock Mazda ECU for those functionalities.
