Apr 24, 2019 · Huw and Becky are the founders of Paynter Jacket Co. A small business that produces limited edition chore jackets. They will release as little as three batches a year which they sell online. Becky studied textiles at Central St. Martins in London and went on to work at the British Fashion Council, Nike and It’s Nice That. A lot of people ask why we don't make more. There are 2 reasons why: 1. We don't like waste. Wasted fabric, or wasted jackets. That's why we limit production. We're careful to grow slowly as we want to keep a close eye on quality. 2. Our fabric is made bespoke, a process that starts many weeks (often months) before the jackets go on sale. Paynter Jacket Co. make limited edition jackets that are sold in batches, 4 days per year. 4 new styles drop each year, and each one is released on a Saturday at 9am UK time. The demand for each drop is huge, and growing. Styles have previously sold out in as little as 86 seconds.The number one reason any piece of clothing becomes a favourite is because it fits like a glove. That’s why we spend so long working on it. Batch No.4 fits just like all our previous chore jackets. It’s based on a slim men’s cut. If you’re looking for a boxier fit or want space for layers, size up.
