Illustrator snapping to grid.
I changed my grid from every 1 inch to every 0.01 inch, even though I thought I turned off all snapping to grids for everything, but that one single setting change seems to have done the trick. Still doesn't quite make sense, but at least I got around it. Turning off Snap to Grid should be sufficient.

AI does indeed have considerable trouble snapping a non-grid uniform clipping mask after it's been created. - meaning.. if the mask shape doesn't conform to grid divisions.. AI gets confused. Hello Everyone, I am pretty new to illustrator and graphics design. I love all the possibilities so far. I activated the grid and the function that it snaps to the grid. Now when I draw shapes with the pen tool it seems like its not perfectly fitting to the grid. Smart Guides are not showing when I use Adobe Illustrator CC. There were several posts in this forum that suggest turning of "snap to grid" and double checking the preferences that smart guides are on. I've done both and provided screenshots. Smart Guides is very important feature to me. I need it urgently back on. Thanks
