Pull the steering column shrouds and unplug the MFS connectors. Inspect for burned or damaged pins and wires. When I press the brakes pedaal the brakes lights come on. When I release the pedal, the brake lights stay on. If I turn the flashers on then off, the lights go off. The switch should close and turn on the light if the e-brake is even partly depressed, even as little as 1/4 inch, this "play" can be adjustable depending on the car/truck. Easy enough to get out a multimeter and check the function of the switch, and it should be cheap to replace if it's broken. Good luck!
