On our MY18, I've done a couple things to quell that : 1) switched engine oil to Castrol Syntec 5w-30. 2) replaced 2 driver's side Vvt actuators (ours were leaky, this got rid of a lot of noise on that side) 3) use chevron techron concentrate annually to keep carbon deposits down and detonation quality high. regards.

Turns out this is something called the "fuel evaporation leakage checking system". It was just odd hearing this sound 5 1/2 hours after I last turned the car off!
