I think it is mostly a refresh rate thing. 240hz monitors with fast response times will probably feel like they have better blur reduction than a 165-175hz monitor even though it has near instantaneous response time. I’ve used the PG279QM and the UFO test was very clear.

I don't think you'll have any ghosting issues with that monitor. I own a Dell 1440p 144 Hz TN myself, zero ghosting issues whatsoever. Had your monitor decision been a VA monitor, that's where ghosting would have been an issue. I'd look to calibrate your monitor for sure.
