I have exactly the same issue - just installed a brand new U6LR and although it is getting POE+ power over the cable, it is insisting on uplinking to a distant access point instead of using the wired connection. I haven't personally, but I'm curious if these + models are using the Mediatek chipset from 6-LR and 6-Lite, the better Qualcomm chipset that is in the 6-Pro and 6-Mesh, or something else.
